Major Awards

I was the first author of a peer-reviewed paper in an international journal. For this project, I designed the experiments, performed most of them, and analyzed the data.

Patent pending for “Modular Sofa Integrated with Entertainment Center.

Abstract: In order to reduce clutter and to increase ease of use of the home theater system, an innovative new Modular Sofa Integrated with Entertainment Center is being invented; this sofa will contain all equipment needed to have a home theater system in-built and it will come with one integrated remote. Now, one simply needs to buy a sofa and a TV/projector, and he/she has a home theater system. The Sofa will be modular so that the user can decide what equipment he/she wants to include in the home theater system; as a result, the sofa is completely customizable to suit the user’s needs and budget. Additionally, since all equipment is within arms-reach of the user, he/she can easily access all equipment while sitting.

The Siemens Competition is the foremost national research competition for high-school students. Submitted “Fragility and molar volumes of non-stoichiometric chalcogenides — the crucial role of melt/glass homogenization” project.

Congress’ foremost award to students awarded after completing requirements in four core areas: Volunteer Public Service (have over 600 volunteer hours total), Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.

Volunteered (though Hugh O’ Brian Leadership) over 250 hours.

Ranked #1 in competitive class of 495 students after Junior Year

Received 4 or better on 8+ AP exams and an average of 4 on all AP exams after Junior Year of HS.

Events

I was selected by my school to attend HOBY after my sophomore year.

Additionally, I volunteered for around 100 hours at HOBY Southwest after my junior year.

HOBY is an organization that calls around 200 high school sophomores to attend a five day seminar where volunteers provide lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower the sophomores to achieve their highest potential.

AwesomeMath is a one month math intensive program that took place at Cornell University during the summer. I attended after my sophomore year and took Number Theory II and Combinatorics II at AwesomeMath.
